For this months theme, I opted not to use just fall colors, but to select some seasonal cues that summer is drawing to a close. With my first card I chose the butterfly border stamp “Migration of Beauty” and opted to spotlight one butterfly. Working in a library we have milkweed plants that grow near our entrance way. We have many families that use the large leaves for caterpillar feedings, teaching their young children about chrysalis formation. I love to hear the many stories about butterfly hatchings under their care.
Hop along with the other Friends of Unity and see their creations...Pssst! There is are giveaways too!

ReplyDeleteSunflowers to me speak fall. They are the perfect fall colors. On your first card, by just coloring one image, what a great idea. It says fall.

ReplyDeleteOH! Eileen I LOVE your stamp and color choices! Just a stunningly beautiful butterfly card. It's amazing! And I think we were channeling each other, as I too made a take on a "triple layer card" too! And yours is just fantastic. I LOVE the big sunflowers and the bright cheerfulness you created. Awesome cards!!! But don't hate Fall because it's right before Winter (lol)...soak up the colors, scents, and flavors of the season...and enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteYour cards a awesome, loved the butterfly one, goes perfectly with the verse used.
ReplyDeleteWow! Fabulous cards! I think your butterfly card is just stunning - the pop of color of only coloring one of the butterflies is so pretty. I have never tried a triple layer card...but maybe it's time to give it a shot! Also I just messaged you as I noticed my name was chosen as the winner of your August hop! What a nice surprise!!!

ReplyDeleteI also love sunflowers and the fall colors.Your cards are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and her two girls (ages 10 and 7) have been raising monarchs and releasing them for three years. They gather the eggs from the milkweed, and see them through the metamorphosis stage. They tag them and then release them. They have released around 200 a summer. They are so beautiful ( the butterflies and my granddaughters)
I love both cards
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love both of these cards. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
